New playground Equipment
This playground is just across
the Nickel Bridge from Byrd Park, so not quite in this blog’s jurisdiction, but there are no boundaries when it comes to our kids’ calorie-burning amusement. What was once an understated though expansive playground is now equipped with some modern structures that are sure to make many families into frequent visitors.
This thing has a long and short slide on either end, a rock wall, and giant nuanced staircase of faux rocks.
For climbing on top of hiding underneath and peeking out.
Stand and spin. Good climbers might be seen on the second tier.
An even more intense spinner. Hold on tight.
Big kid swings.
Toddler swings.
Brought to you by the United Methodist Church.
Does Byrd Park have a bulletin board? Okay, besides this blog… Wouldn’t it be nice?

We live very near this playground, and what’s great is that it is now playable by a larger spectrum of ages. My 8yo was so disappointed when she “outgrew” it. Now she can enjoy it was more!
