Ransacked on Rosewood

From a neighbor on the 2400 block of Rosewood:
This is just another reminder to the good citizens of Byrd Park to keep your personal items out of view and locked up. It seems our household has let a temporary naive str

eak get the best of us. Just a day ago, a gray bike with yellow tires and a child’s seat attached to it was stolen from our front porch. Apparently, we had neglected to chain it up or the chain was not a sufficient deterrent. Regardless, my son and myself are without a bicycle. Just a week ago, we accidentally left our car unlocked overnight (which we do not make a habit of). The next morning we found everything from the glove box and console thrown around inside. In this case, we had the last laugh because we don’t actually own anything of value so nothing was taken.

The point I want everyone to take from these two recent incidents is that it seems that someone is cruising the neighborhood (at least on Rosewood) on a nightly basis. I’m sure most of you know what is normal for your neighborhood and if you see suspicious activity, report it. If you have anything that has to be outdoors, lock it up.
Sad, but true.
