Village People Pool for Sale

The owner of the double-lot in the 2200 block of Lakeview Avenue is selling off its uninhabited half. Until recently, the property was owned by Felipe Rose, a member of the Village People since 1977 (he's the Native American).

Look closely and you'll see that there's a
beautiful swimming pool on the property. That could all be yours, though you'd have to BYOH (bring your own house). Maybe the neighborhood wants to split it and consider this the new neighborhood swimming hole.
It's a pretty regal residence, on the whole. Should be interesting to see what comes of this. Will someone really build a house right next to Felipe Rose's old house? How about we develop it into a neighborhood rec center and gym. It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A!

I feel like there’s a “why did he own a pool when he could go to the YMCA?!” joke in there somewhere, but I don’t want to crowbar it in…
$175,000 and you can own it, maybe we can become as elite as the quarry private club over by the UR stadium.
I knew there was a detail that I needed to research. Thanks Casey. Building a house there would be a little easier as the basement and foundation are already dug out. Or, maybe drain the pool and use it as a skateboarding venue?
Interesting that the price reflects the pool improvement but it is being marketed as a home site… In which case you’d have to spend more money removing the pool. I vote to chip in and have a neighborhood pool.
