Renovations and Additions

At the Fountain Lake end of Rosewood, a new addition can be seen overhead from the alley. It’s not a bird. It’s not a plane. It’s a treehouse. Or, a garage-top veranda.  Jay and Sarah built it in a weekend, mostly from scrap wood and broken-up palates and chicken wire. Play dates are by invitation only, or $12 per half-hour, just like the pedalboats.

At the other end of Rosewood, construction has concluded on Karen “darling octopus” Guard’s dream-come-true master-bathroom. Karen’s blog features before and after “make me pretty” projects, usually focused on found furniture, but this renovation was on a whole nuther level, and we’re not just talking about the second floor. On the blog, you get to see the gawd-awful the yellow tile and avocado bathtub that made the make-over so necessary. (yes, Karen is my wife)
