BPCL Urges You to VOTE on School Redistricting
From the Byrd Park Civic League:
Good Evening Byrd Park Neighbors.
I received a robo-call tonight from the Richmond School Board (that you may have received as well,) about an issue that came up in our Byrd Park Civic League meeting this past Saturday; city school rezoning. Several of us were wondering why our neighborhood is divided between two elementary schools; John B. Cary and Clark Springs. I thought I would pass along the link below, to the public school site, in case you are interested in voting in the Questionnaire/Survey (due by Feb 24th) or attending the meeting being held at Thompson Middle School tomorrow night. The meeting was the subject the robo-call this evening. The survey is at the very bottom once you connect on the first link. If you decide to participate in the survey, you need to be educated on which “option” you approve of prior to participating.
As you will see, there is a great deal of information to digest on this site. If you select the maps, be prepared to wait for them to load – ~ 2 minutes.
Richmond City Schools link.I’ve also included a link to a document from the last meeting. This document includes a link to the maps so that you don’t have to navigate two places.
I look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming meetings!
