So Far… Sally Bell’s at Fountain Lake
Sally Belle’s has been open in The Landing at Fountain Lake since just before Memorial Day, selling many of their standards, as well as ice cream, hamburgers, hot dogs, etc. There’s a grill outside some of the time. Have they been cooking the grub outside? If so, nice touch.
It seems clear that they got the operation up and running so they could work out details as they go. And thank goodness they acted so quickly. The added activity at The Landing is a welcome addition.
Does anyone have any positive or constructive feedback they’d like to share? If there are any Sally Belle representatives reading this, please feel free to forecast what we can expect throughout the summer.

We had boxed lunches there on their opening Saturday. Enjoyed eating at the lake and the food was v. good, though service was a little erratic (we didn’t get deviled eggs, and I got the sense the staff was very much still figuring things out).
My wife finally got to try their food. The Grace St site is never open on weekends, so we’d never had a chance.
I think it’ll be a great walkable option for a fun meal for those living in Byrd Park, the Fan or Monument District.
I went their first day of business (Friday before Memorial Day), and I had a great lunch. They had very few options at the time, but they had all of their more popular items. I looked at their menu this weekend, and it seemed to be the same.
My only comments:
1) Post a larger menu
2) Fence off the area where the grill is–I can definitely see kids running around The Landing, which isn’t conducive to that grill being there
3) Consider selling snow cones. I know they’re a real restaurant, but snow cones were quite popular for the old vendor…Or I would love to see some Soul Ice.
