Walk ‘N Roll 5k

On April 17th, The Virginia Home held their first Annual Walk ‘N Roll 5K. The purpose of the event was to allow those who use wheelchairs to experience the fun and challenge of a 5K. Participants were residents of The Virginia Home as well as others from agencies with similar purposes. Hampton Street was closed between Powhatan and Amelia Streets to enable the participants to cross the finish line in front of The Home. Judging from the enthusiastic cheers and big smiles the event appeared to be a great success!
