Stroller Stolen from Porch
4 Comments »You see baby strollers parked on people’s porches all the time. Bringing the bulky things inside isn’t always an option. After a year and a half of good luck, our stroller was stolen from our porch on Rosewood Ave sometime after Thanksgiving.
I understand that we were taking a risk by leaving it outside, but we’d just had a railing put around the porch and the gate was closed. So, anyone removing it would have been conspicuous and noisy. Neighbors, keep an eye out for each other (and an eye out for this stroller). And to my dogs, forget that I told you to stop barking at passers-by.
If you have to leave your stroller on your porch, I suggest a lock of some kind.

Please remember that you are talking to your neighbors.

I think this happened all over the Fan too. We lost 2 (one really awesome one), and I’ve talked to like 3 other families – same thing, same night. Ugh.
Heather: Did you report the theft to the police? I haven’t done that yet. I’ve checked Craigslist, but I’d like to know where these people might be selling a pile of used strollers.
Jason, I’m so sorry this happened to you guys. We too have been in the habit of leaving our stroller out on our porch during the day. Thanks for letting us know that we really need to be more careful.
If anyone has a used BOB stroller, or a Bumblebee, or a City Jogger that you’d like to get rid of, we’re looking to upgrade. A jogger with one of those attachments that allows an infant car seat would be good. Not that there’s any infants on the way or anything. Just like to be prepared for anything.
