I've gotten it a few times. Unfortunately, I'm way overbooked with work/family/school/etc as it is. I want to help, but I can't take on much responsibility. I do believe there are willing participants and even leaders in the neighborhood. When I get my act together and organize the survey of Byrd Parkers' interest and concerns, we'll have a good amount of input and volunteers that could be a resurgence for BPCL. In the meantime, I hope the group will stay afloat one way or another. During Saturday's meeting, I'll be taking my son to an event called Touch A Truck. He's 1.5 yrs old and he's obsessed with trucks. We can't pass up the chance for him to touch one. Sorry to miss the meeting. I'm with yall in spirit. The Oct-Feb meetings were on Saturdays as our older residents did not like attending meetings after dark. Fliers/Newsletters were given to everyhome as possible but few pay dues and ads could not keep up with the costs AND only two people really did all the work. The email list doesn't cover many people and attendance is always slim. We're away this weekend so unable to attend. We will continue to support the BPCL how we can, but with a baby on the way an officer position is out of the question. We do hope the BPCL can stay together, we have issues we need to address as a neighborhood; the redevelopment of the old bus barn being just one of many.
